Manchester United are set to host Manchester City at Old Trafford on Saturday 28 October for the first Manchester derby of the 2023/24 season.

Next season’s fixture list was announced at 9am Thursday morning, with all 20 club fixtures confirmed. City will begin their title defense on Friday 11 August with a trip to promoted Burnley, while United welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Old Trafford on Monday 14 August.

The first All-Manchester game of the season is scheduled for the last Saturday of October, with United meeting City in the M16s at 3pm. However, the kick-off time and date may change due to TV program availability. Last season’s first match between Manchester United was played at the Etihad Stadium in the same month.

United beat City 2-1 in the final match at Old Trafford to come from behind again in January. Jack Grealish took the lead and goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford turned the game around.

The second leg is scheduled for Saturday 2 March 2024 at the Etihad Stadium and will again start at 15:00, but is likely to change again. Hat-tricks from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland saw City beat the Etihad 6-3 in both sides’ latest game.

City, of course, beat United again in the FA Cup final at Wembley earlier this month. Ilkay Gundogan scored a penalty for Bruno Fernandes in both ends, bringing the Blues one step closer to a treble.

2023/24 Manchester derby dates:

  • United vs City – Saturday, October 28 – 15:00
  • City vs United – Saturday, March 23 – 15:00

Fixture dates and kick-off times are subject to change.
