Manchester United remain angry with Jadon Sancho, claiming he is unfit and indifferent to being dropped from the team, we have been informed.

As we revealed this year, Erik ten Hag feels he must give the winger another chance this season, but the public row between the pair means Man Utd will are actively looking for loan opportunities in January, which could become a problem considering the player’s current wages. We’re told Sancho’s efforts have also seen his chances dry up in England under Gareth Southgate, who will continue to overlook the former Borussia Dortmund winger in future matches.

Man Utd held discussions throughout the summer about the possibility of transferring Sancho to Saudi Arabia, but in the end the deadline was too close to conclude anything. However, that is a path that Man Utd will continue to explore in 2024.

However, from Sancho’s point of view, the crux of the matter is that no matter how badly Antony plays or how many mistakes he makes, he is still chosen. No matter how many situations he misses, he is still favored by Ten Hag. Some believe that the Brazilian is treated like the coach’s golden child – he knows it and acts like it. We understand that his addition last year was the start of problems between Ten Hag and Sancho.

There has been some shade thrown on the concept that Man Utd will bring in a star centre-back this January, amid links to the likes of Antonio Silva and Goncalo Inacio. There is the feeling that Man Utd would rather do their business in the summer window rather than January. Club sources, meanwhile, told FootballTransfers that any action or planning pertaining to the winter window is pre-mature.

Futhermore, this may mean that Giorgio Scalvini of Atalanta will be out of reach. Sources in Italy describe the youngster as one of the next big things to come out of Serie A, while those close to Bergamo say that any deal for the defender would be around the £50million mark – perhaps more. Atalanta also remain reluctant to allow their man leave half-way through the season. The club believe that they will get more value in the summer, in any case.
