The £72m striker finally made his long-awaited debut for Manchester United against Arsenal earlier this month.

Manchester United will not be able to sell shirts with the name Rasmus Højlund on the back because they do not have the correct letters.

The 20-year-old Danish striker joined United from Atalanta for £72m last month and, after a brief injury absence, made his debut as a substitute in the 3-1 defeat. recently against Arsenal.

But Red Devils fans still can’t get their hands on a replica Højlund shirt – seemingly for a rather disastrous reason.

According to a report from MailOnline, United cannot print shirts with the new number 11 on the back because the club store does not have any Danish letters ø in stock.

Perhaps fans in a hurry could buy themselves a ‘Hojlund’ (or ‘Hjlund’…) shirt – but that wouldn’t be quite the same, would it?

Luckily for the club, øs has now arrived and they can start selling kits named after their most expensive signing of the summer.
