Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is facing a ‘dream’ transfer to Barcelona that could be worth a combined €80m.

That’s what Mundo Deportivo say, who say that Silva, despite being seen as a complicated operation, is again an option for the Catalans.

President Joan Laporta, coach Xavi and players’ agent Jorge Mendes want to try to strike a deal and Silva still ‘dreamed’ about moving to the Camp Nou.

He has been informed of all the moves for several days and has even blocked every other suggestion to wait and see what happens with Barcelona.

The Manchester City midfielder is “ready to put pressure on the club” to let him go as he believes he can make his dream come true expect Barcelona to make a move for him and quickly because unlike in previous years when they too have shown interest, he won’t wait until the end of the transfer window, also understand that Manchester City need to find a replacement for him in the top flight and don’t want them to be late on the transfer market.

The whole operation will be managed by Mendes, who offered the player to Barcelona last meeting and was approved by the Catalans in power, including Xavi, who has wanted him in his team for a long time.

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has made it clear he will allow the midfielder to join Barcelona if he so desires, provided he is made a good offer.

The value was 80 million euros last year and they will probably keep it. Barcelona reportedly initially preferred a loan deal with a mandatory release clause at the end of the season to comply with La Liga fair play rules.

However, it remains to be seen whether City will agree to such a deal. Her idea is to use Guardiola’s relationships with Manchester City bosses Joan Laporta, Deco and Mateu Alemany to ‘keep the talks going’ and smooth things over.

Whether that will work remains to be seen, but there is hope that something will work and Silva could move to Barcelona this summer.
