Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero reveals how he is set to make a return to football almost three years after announcing his retirement

Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has revealed he is close to making a sensational return to football – as a club owner.

The 36-year-old, who had to retire from football nearly three years ago because of a heart condition, is keeping the club’s identity a secret but says it is not in his native Argentina.

He revealed his plans in a chat with Argentinian streamer Coscu, real name Martin Perez Disalvo, saying when asked if he wanted to return to football as a manager: ‘The truth is that I’m thinking of getting involved in a football club as an owner.

‘I’m not going to say which club it is, but I think we’re on the right path.

‘I like to be able to manage, to help the club to progress, to build a good team, a good staff.

‘I prefer to see a club grow in a proper way, to be honest.’

Aguero already has an eSports team, KRU Esports, which his close friend Lionel Messi joined as a co-owner in November last year.
