Man United is missing 9 players due to injury in the match against Bayern Munich, but 4 can return to Turf Moor.

Manchester United will assess Raphael Varane, Mason Mount, Sofyan Amrabat and Harry Maguire in their final training session before the Premier League match against Burnley.

Mount has missed the last four matches with a muscle problem and Varane has been sidelined since coming on at half-time in the 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest four weeks ago.

Both men attended team training on Tuesday morning but did not travel with United to Germany for their 4-3 Champions League group stage loss to Bayern Munich.

Rookie Amrabat had an individual training session in midweek, but Maguire was injured and could not participate in the match against Bayern.

“As you say, Harry Maguire, but we’ll meet after practice,” Ten Hag said. “But Varane will train, we will see, Amrabat will train, we will see and so will Mount. But they don’t play short or long term. Obviously, Varane is the shortest.”

Ten Hag does not dispute the unsettling stories at United this week over their tactical adjustments and the treatment of David de Gea, who was released after 12 years in prison in July.

Some United players were outraged by Ten Hag’s criticism, while some were outraged by his treatment of perceived team favorites.

“I don’t know if this is a leak or not but I know the opinion, I know my players. Anyone can make suggestions, we agree.

“At United, you have to Win every match so this doesn’t happen. change anything. As usual, the problem is how we play against Burnley. There are no easy games and certainly not against Burnley.

“We know how intense football they play, we know their approach. I like their approach, the adventure, the intensity and the dynamism of their play , so we have to play our best.”
