But the winger will not be forced to leave the transfer market after winning the treble under Pep Guardiola.

Mahrez, 32, has been a key player for City since his £60m move from Leicester in 2018.

The Algerian has scored 78 games in 236 Emirates appearances, winning four titles and a championship in the process.

But Mahrez is currently tipped to be the next star to make a big move to Saudi Arabia.

Al-Ahli tore the net of Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

And they also agreed to a free transfer for Roberto Firmino from Liverpool.

Sports Zone claim Al-Ahli has now handed Mahrez a fantastic £410,000-a-week deal following first contact last month.

The striker is keen to move to the Middle East, believes it’s time to leave and has agreed personal terms.

But Mahrez’s future is now in City’s hands, and it’s clear that Guardiola is keen to keep him.

His teammate, Bernardo Silva, was also tempted by a huge transfer to Saudi Arabia.

The Portuguese ace has been tipped to leave Man City for several summers.

And Guardioa has no intention of losing Mahrez and Silva in the same window.

Mahrez has now informed the Man City board that he wants to leave the club.

Players hoping to move to Al-Ahli will be given the green light.

But Mahrez has no intention of being forced to leave because of his “strong relationship” with the three-time champion team.
