One fan on Twitter, who recently changedhisnameto X, seemedunimpressedby City’s £16m,writing: “And? The £16m figure is certainly impressive, considering it’s more than what Liverpool received in the sale of their former captain, Jordan Henderson, who moved to Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia.

His departure came as a surprise to fans across English football and following the announcement of his move, Henderson posted a moving message to Liverpool fans where he paid tribute to the club and its supporters.
“It’s hard to put these last 12 years into words and it’s even harder to say goodbye,” he said in a video.
“I will always be a Red. Until the day I die. Thank you for everything. You’ll never walk alone.”
Henderson, who lifted the Premier League and Champions League trophy as captain among other titles said he’ll always remember “the good times” he had at the club.
“I need to somehow explain what these last 12 years have felt for me and my family. I can still remember that night in June 2011 clearly. I was excited and then nervous as the move from Sunderland became reality.
“Looking back at that footage, I am just a kid. Who would imagined looking back at that night how the next 12 years would go. I can’t lie. There have been really hard times but when I look back at my career at Liverpool, it will always be the good times that I remember.”
