Man City legend Sergio Aguero tries his luck at career change that could make him even richer

Former Man City striker Sergio Aguero is taking his career in a different direction following his retirement from football.

Sergio Aguero has a habit of adapting to what life brings.

When Pep Guardiola joined Manchester City, it suddenly seemed like the legendary striker’s days at the Etihad were over. Gabriel Jesus was brought in and initially pushed Aguero out of the squad thanks to good pressing.

Aguero was already one of the best strikers in Premier League history, but when Guardiola asked him to do more than just put the ball in goal, he responded admirably. The Argentinian completely changed the game and got better, continuing to record insane speed.

Aguero has faced all odds and continues to do so, years after being forced to retire. He left City for Barcelona in the summer of 2021, but made just four appearances for his new club before his career was brutally cut short.

Aguero was found to have a heart condition that prevented him from competing, officially ending his illustrious career in December 2021. He has won the Premier League five times, the FA Cup once and the League Cup six times, scoring a sensational 260 goals for City alone.

Now the 35-year-old has tried another game and has become a professional poker player for him. Aguero is competing in a tournament in Las Vegas and his goal is to win a huge £8million prize pool. He is one of his 3,000 attendees to attend his main event in the two-week World Series of Poker.

Aguero’s poker Although his career is in its infancy and he has less than £5,000 in prize money, he amassed a whopping 85,000 chips on the first day and got off to a good start to the tournament. Christopher Brammer tops with 386,100 points.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Even the best players make mistakes and get bad cards. Sergio needs to stay indoors as long as possible, but who knows. ”
