Luke Shaw

Shaw is expected to be sidelined for a while to come after sustaining a muscular injury to his thigh. No concrete timeline for his rehabilitation has been given just yet, but the likelihood is that he will not feature again until the back end of the campaign, if at all.

Lisandro Martinez

Martinez suffered a knee injury in early February, and is understood to be around halfway through his recovery process. Speaking about the Argentine, Ten Hag said: ‘Lisandro has sustained an injury to the medial collateral ligament in his knee and is expected to be out of action for at least eight weeks.’ It could be early April before we see him back in action.

Anthony Martial

After undergoing surgery on a groin issue, the expectation is that Martial will be available again by the end of March. Any appearance before this month’s international break feels unlikely.

Tyrell Malacia

Malacia has been ruled out for quite some time with a knee problem, but the understanding is that he is nearing a return to fitness after a number of delays in his recovery. Speaking about the full-back, Ten Hag said: ‘He had setbacks during his rehab process. It takes too long; it’s bad for him. Bad for us. But now we’ve turned a point, and it’s positive – he will return soon on the pitch. I don’t think then it will take long before he’s returning in the team training.’ This weekend will probably come too soon, but he should be back this month.

Mason Mount

It’s been a frustrating first season at Old Trafford for Mount, but the midfielder has been touted for a return at around the same time as Malacia.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Injured in training, Wan-Bissaka is another who is set to be ruled out for another week or two. The FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool could be a realistic target for the full-back.
