Jack Grealish’s home was robbed last year and around £1million worth of jewellery and watches were stolen, but seven months on from the incident no arrests have been made

Thugs who raided Jack Grealish’s home and stole around £1million of jewellery and watches while he was in action for Manchester City are still on the run.

Grealish was away playing in City’s 3-1 win over Everton on December 27 when the burglary happened, but his girlfriend Sasha Atwood and 10 family members were staying at the property and raised the alarm.

However, seven months on from the attack, Grealish is said to be “on the edge” and “absolutely distraught” that no arrests have been made. According to the Sun, Grealish is concerned the gang will strike again.

“Jack fears they will never be caught,” a source said. “This left him absolutely distraught — it impacted him and his family badly. Seven months on and no arrests have been made. Police say they are still investigating it, but there’s a real fear they have fled the country. Jack is worried they’ll never be caught and will do it again.”

Grealish lives in an area that has been regularly targeted by organised gangs, with City teammate Joao Cancelo assaulted by thugs during a robbery at his home in 2021. “It was horrific because it terrorised my family,” he said.

“For me, I know how to deal with stuff, but my family didn’t deserve to go through that. When I lost my mother I had to continue. There have been a lot of obstacles in my life and I have had to get over them.

“I’ve become a stronger player mentally and that’s how I want to keep going on. I could drop my head, but however much people try to make me suffer they won’t achieve it. I always like to think positively, that’s how I live my life in the best way possible.”
