How Manchester United should line up with three star players dropped due to poor form

Erik ten Hag has some big decisions to make as he looks to end Manchester United’s poor run and get their season back on track with victory over Brentford this weekend.

United fans will see the last few games as winnable ahead of tougher tests to come, but it hasn’t been easy, with four defeats in six outings Their most recent troops.

United have been overly reliant on him since he signed for the club, and now there is a viable alternative in signing Sofyan Amrabat on a summer loan. The Moroccan has had a shaky start to life at Old Trafford, but that has been tempered by the fact that all of his appearances have been as a makeshift left-back.

Once they have another full-back in place, it will be interesting to see what Amrabat can do in his preferred position, and that could be in Casemiro’s position, rather than alongside him that.

If the selection is completely inappropriate, there is also an argument that Alejandro Garnacho and Hannibal Mejbri should also be included.

Garnacho is much more dangerous on the left than Marcus Rashford this season, although he plays better off the bench than when starting.
