Manchester United will conclude their North American tour against Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas. United have played against Arsenal, Wrexham and Real Madrid in the USA and have lost the last two games.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men won 2-0 in Houston midweek and this weekend’s game against Dortmund is a chance to bounce back.
The summer’s , games were used to get the players back on form, but Erik ten Hag spoke of the importance of building a winning culture and was disappointed with his side’s lack of a lead over Real Madrid.
Kobbie Mainoo also sustained an injury just a few minutes in that game and he has flown home for treatment.

United could also play with the strongest team possible. Diogo Dalot has a higher roof than Aaron Wan-Bissaka and could use a start while Marcus Rashford needs to move back up the left wing. At the moment, Jadon Sancho is the most logical center forward and he can enjoy playing against his former club.
After knocking out Kobbie Mainoo, it would make sense to free up Casemiro and Mason Mount in midfield. Against Real Madrid, United weren’t as threatening with Bruno Fernandes on the right flank.
Tyrone Marshall
This is the final game of United’s US tour and they don’t play again until the double-header at Old Trafford and in Dublin next week, so it makes sense to play the strongest team against Dortmund.
You could see 10 of this XI starting against Wolves, with the only uncertainty really over the striker. Onana is clearly the No. 1 goalkeeper and the first-choice back-four need to continue to get used to his methods. That means starts for Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez and Shaw here.
In midfield, Casemiro, Mount and Fernandes can start together. They all played against Real but it was Fernandes on the wing while they were on the pitch together.
That shouldn’t be required in Las Vegas. Antony and Rashford can start wide, with Sancho getting another run in the false nine position.
Steven Railston
Although Onana conceded two goals against Real Madrid earlier this week, his uncompetitive debut in Houston was eye-catching and his ball-playing ability has the potential to be transformational this season.
It will take time for the outfield players to adjust and the same back four should be picked for continuity. Wan-Bissaka is now the first-choice right-back and Dalot must fight to regain that status when he gets the chance.
Martial is yet to feature in pre-season and he should manage to play the first 45 minutes.
