According to reports, Premier League team Manchester United is considering how to sell Antony in the next two transfer windows.

It’s been a difficult start to the season for the Old Trafford giants, with off-field problems coupled with a run of three defeats in their last four Premier League matches.

The Red Devils’ mild 3-1 defeat at home to Brighton was not the best preparation for their match with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on Wednesday, as injury problems continue to pile up.

Additionally, Jadon Sancho remains absent “pending the resolution of a disciplinary matter within the squad” and Antony has been placed on leave following allegations of assault against him.

Antony was dropped from the Brazil squad earlier this month following allegations of repeated physical attacks since January against his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin, who is under police investigation, which he denies.

Man Utd has agreed to let this player leave the club to focus on defense.

Antony has not been arrested or charged and said he will cooperate with police to prove his innocence.

Man Utd, fresh from the mention of Mason Greenwood leaving the club, said in a statement on September 11: “Manchester United acknowledges the allegations against Antony.

“Players who have not participated in international matches must return to training on Monday. However, Antony agreed that he would delay his return until further notice in response to the allegations.

“As a club we condemn acts of violence and abuse. We recognize the importance of protecting all those involved in this situation and recognize the impact these allegations have on survivors of abuse.

Man Utd, who have not suspended Antony, will continue to monitor the evolving situation, with Erik ten Hag advising on this decision.

Antony, who denies all allegations against him, will still receive his full salary and hopes to return to the club as quickly as possible. “I have agreed with Manchester United to take a period of absence while I respond to the allegations against me,” he said in a statement.

“It was a mutual decision to avoid distracting my teammates and avoiding unnecessary controversy for the club. I would like to reiterate that I am innocent of the charges and will fully cooperate with the police to help them uncover the truth. I can’t wait to get back competing as soon as possible.»

But Spanish publication Fichajes claim Man Utd ‘have sought’ to get rid of Antony at the next opportunity after the Red Devils ‘ran out of patience with the Brazilian’.

Man Utd are now ‘thinking about his departure during the winter market’ with the Premier League club ‘betting on the transfer of the South American footballer’.

In his 29 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils following his £85m move from Ajax las summer, Antony has provided four goals and contributed two assists.

And now the Brazil international faces a ‘possible departure’ in the January transfer window with a ‘big bomb’ in the transfer market ‘on the horizon’ and Antony could now ‘find a new destiny in the Premier League’ or ‘in another major European league’.

It seems unlikely that Antony will be leaving in the January transfer market and Fichajes adds that Man Utd would find it an ‘impossible task to recover their investment’.
