Exclusive: De Gea Still Evaluating Saudi Transfer Offer As Man United Consider Four Goalkeeper Targets

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is considering a possible move to Saudi Arabia but has yet to make a final decision on his future.

A source with accurate knowledge of the situation has told CaughtOffside that Man United will broaden its search for a new goalkeeper this summer and will consider four names. It is said that

De Gea remains an option, the Red Devils may need a replacement and Porto’s Diogo Costa has been a name in the club’s eye for some time.

Catch offside He understands that Bayern Munich are also interested in Costa, but one of the Portuguese goalkeeper’s problems is the €75m release clause.

United Airlines has other cheaper options that seem more viable. An internal valuation has been carried out on Jordan Pickford and a deal from Everton could cost around £40m.

Eric ten Haag has also been familiar with Inter Milan keeper Andre Onana since his time at Ajax, making him the latest name in United’s attention. £50m should be enough to convince Intel to sell, but they are struggling financially. Other big names such as Marcelo Brozovic and Federico Dimarco could also be sold in this transfer window.

Sevilla goalkeeper Yasine Boonoo has also been on MUFC’s radar for some time and could be another bargain option with a deal valued at around £30m.

Much depends on De Gea’s decision, but it’s fair to say that we can expect more big-name signings from Saudi clubs this summer.
