Manchester City’s mainstay first-team goalkeeper Ederson has now reportedly undergone testing on the injury sustained at Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
The 30-year-old shot-stopper was forced out of action at half-time of Manchester City’s 0-2 win at the City Ground, having sustained a problem during the first-half through a clash with Nuno Espirito Santo’s centre-back Willy Boly.
Speaking after the contest, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola issued a word of warning around the severity of the problem, as he told journalists, “It doesn’t look good. We see tomorrow (Monday) with the doctor.”
However, the first reputable reports surrounding the fitness of Ederson have indicated that there may not be anything to worry about after all, despite the images coming away from the City Ground on the weekend.
As per the information of TNT Sports’ Fred Caldeira, tests on Ederson’s latest injury setback sustained against Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon ‘do not show an injury’, and the Brazilian goalkeeper will return to Manchester City training ‘in the next few days’.
