Simon Hooper has been named as the referee for Manchester City’s clash with Newcastle on Saturday evening.

The referee has officiated 26 matches so far this season across all competitions, showing 110 yellow cards and three red cards.

Hooper last took charge of Manchester City in December, when the Blues controversially drew 3-3 with Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium.
