Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho could be in for quite the reward from the Red Devils hierarchy if his brother’s social media activity is anything to go by.

Alejandro Garnacho’s brother has caused a stir among some Manchester United fans after he hinted on Twitter that the Red Devils youngster could soon be the club’s new number seven.

The Argentine player, number, made his debut for the club just over a year ago but now it looks like Garnacho will be handed the most iconic number in United history, according to Manchester Evening News. The top of the club hierarchy are seriously considering rewarding the winger with a jersey for his performances.

Garnacho made 34 senior appearances in all competitions last season. In the same period, he managed to score six goals and provide six assists, which paved his way into the hearts of Old Trafford fans.

No United player has worn a shirt number since Cristiano Ronaldo’s controversial departure late last year. If Garnacho were given a new shirt number, he would be the first teenager since Ronaldo when he joined the club two decades ago.
