Michail Antonio praises Kobbie Mainoo

The West Ham striker spoke highly of the Manchester United midfielder.

“He is frightening, he is actually frightening. The craziest thing is that when they came to us at the beginning of the season, I didn’t know much of these players like and this was United, but when he played against us I was like ‘this kid is something special,” Antonio said.

“Then I was like where did they sign him from? They had to have signed him, this guy was a joke, but he came through the academy, this kid is something else.”

It’s remarkable just how quick this young man’s rise to prominence has been.

12 months ago, hardly anyone knew who Mainoo was, but now, he’s arguably Manchester United’s best player and he may even have worked his way into the England starting XI for the Euros.

As Antonio says, Mainoo possesses a scary amount of natural talent, and while he has a bit of work to do in terms of his off-the-ball work and his positional discipline, the sky appears to be the limit for this young man.
