Then posting again after Ten Hag’s comments, he added: ‘Ten Hag subtly blaming Garnacho in the post match press conference…not a good look throwing a 19-year-old under the bus who has actually delivered for you this season. 

‘But then again he’s clearly scared of upsetting the bigger earners.’

Garnacho liked both of these posts, before he later removed the likes as fans became aware of his actions on his account.

The Argentine also shared a post on his Instagram story, with a photo of himself looking dejected during the game.

He accompanied this with the face with open mouth or wow emoji, further expressing his frustrations.

The 19-year-old has been one of the bright spots in United’s otherwise grim and inconsistent campaign, racking up nine goals and four assists in 42 games in all competitions. 

In fact, only Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes have more goal contributions than the youngster, which demonstrates his importance to United. 

The result left United in seventh place, with Ten Hag’s side having won just once in their past seven league games.

They return to action with an FA Cup semi-final against Coventry next Sunday, before hosting Sheffield United the following midweek.
