Ineos Group is set to secure a 25% stake in Man United 11 months after the Glazer family announced a strategic review.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is being kept in the dark by the Glazer family amid expected Ineos Group to invest in the club.

Ineos, founded by childhood United fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is set to buy a 25% stake in United, worth £1.3 billion, after Sheikh Jassim withdrew his offer to buy the club ministry last week.

United co-chairman Joel Glazer has not attended a match at Old Trafford since April 2019 and has barely interacted with supporters in the 18-and-a-half years his family has owned the club.

His brother, Avram Glazer, attended last season’s opening game against Brighton, as well as the League Cup and FA Cup finals at Wembley.

When asked if he was informed about the club’s ownership, Ten Hag replied: “No. So I’m not involved in that, the other members of the club will take care of it.”

“I’m focused on my team, focused on the current block and the most important priority is the next game. That’s all about that.”

Ten Hag has confirmed that Jadon Sancho’s situation has not changed after he was banned from the first team five weeks ago. Sancho accused Ten Hag of lying in a Twitter post about him not was in the matchday squad against Arsenal on September 3.

United also left Sancho out of their squad late last month and Sancho merchandise is widely available on the Club’s website set.Ten Hag reiterated “everything that was said about him”.Lane on Saturday night they won their last match against Brentford thanks to two goals from Scott McTominay in the 93rd and 97th minute.

It saved United from a third consecutive home defeat in a season for the first time since October 1962 and some called it a landmark result. United have won four and lost four of their Premier League matches this season.

“You can’t restart, but what you see is that there is a strong dressing room,” Ten Hag insisted. “They’re aligned, unified and they’re very determined and ready to win games, that’s what we’ve seen in the last few minutes.

“We invested a lot in the game hey and we finally beat them because we were physically so strong, we continued. Mentally we are very strong and of course that lifts the spirits.”
