Footage of ‘tired’ Sir Alex Ferguson speaking to journalists about her alleged inability to tell the truth has resurfaced amid ‘dressing room leaks’ at Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag has responded to reports of a leak in Manchester United’s dressing room ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Burnley.

Earlier this week, The Sun reported that the United squad were unhappy with the treatment of David de Gea ahead of his departure this summer.

In addition to this news, the Manchester Evening News claimed that several players were becoming increasingly fed up with media criticism of Ten Hag.

In fact, locker room sources told the publication that “some players believe [Erik] Ten Hag has favorites in his squad that he doesn’t want to criticize, while they believe others are routinely attacked.”‘039;

“I don’t know if it’s a leak, but I know the opinion, I know my players. Anyone can make suggestions, we have a different opinion,” Ten Hag said in response to the potential leaks.

Since this information emerged, a clip has emerged online showing Sir Alex Ferguson, then manager of Manchester United, taking journalists to task for distorting the truth.

At a press conference in 2010, the practical Scot made his feelings clear.

As the documents above show, an angry Ferguson said: “I would like to address you, journalists.I’ve blocked some of you for a few weeks and honestly, I’m sick of it. It’s your job to tell the truth, right? Is it your job? You can quote me if I’m right and what I said, but I won’t let you misrepresent what I say, okay?

“The next time, it’s finished and you don’t get back in. Am I making that clear to you? You don’t get back in, finished.

“I’m fed up of having to read papers… and things I’ve said – and I know I’ve said – and you completely twist it around and lie. Your job is to tell the truth – that is your job as a journalist. And if you don’t do that you’re in the wrong job. Okay?”

He would ended his speech by saying: “I thought I’d make that clear.”
