Erik ten Hag gave an honest assessment of Manchester United’s form after their third consecutive defeat last night.

The Red Devils lost 4-3 to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in their first match of the Champions League group stage, and a win would do wonders for team morale after a mediocre start to life in the Premier League campaign…

But now they have to collect themselves and prepare to leave this Saturday because in top football, there is no time to feel sorry for themselves. Matches now take place one after another at a breakneck pace and each one brings the opportunity to rekindle positive form.

Speaking post-match in Germany, Ten Hag reflected on the tie and his side’s recent results.
