Three pundits give their Man City vs Fulham score predictions - timelineoffuture

Manchester City are three for three in the league and Juanma Lillo welcomes Fulham to the Etihad this afternoon.

Manchester City are hoping to continue their excellent start to the Premier League season by hosting Fulham at the Etihad this afternoon.

City needed Rodri’s winner in the 88th minute against Sheffield United to come back from Bramall Lane with the three points after Jayden Bogle equalized Erling Haaland’s opener before the run.

City remain the only team in the top flight with a 100 per cent record, having already beaten Burnley and Newcastle United. Juanma Lillo takes over this afternoon and Pep Guardiola is still at Barcelona recovering from urgent back surgery.

The assistant manager didn’t sound optimistic when asked about new singer Matheus Nunes. He has a chance to make his debut but his greatness will be boosted by the return to full fitness of Manuel Akanji, who missed last week’s win in South Yorkshire through injury.

They meet Fulham, who lost last season’s top scorer Aleksander Mitrovic, to Al Hilal in early summer, while Marco Silva’s side will also sell Joao Palhinha.

However, despite yesterday’s medical examination in Germany, he was not transferred to Bayern Munich. They haven’t won a league game since beating Everton 1-0 in the opening weekend but put in a strong performance last weekend as they drew 2-2 with Arsenal before beating Tottenham on penalties in the Carabao Cup .

However, few would support them in getting anything out of the Etihad. Fulham, against the odds, clinched a point against Arsenal and Manchester City, while yet to gain momentum, are absolutely relentless.

There is nothing to be seen here but a home win. They haven’t reached the goal yet but they are doing enough which is quite worrying for everyone because I think there will be problems once they start.

Prediction: Manchester City 4-0 Fulham

Paul Merson (Sportskeeda)

I don’t see Manchester City slipping up like Arsenal or Chelsea tend to do. I see Manchester City putting Fulham to bed without any drama this Saturday. Even the other day, they dominated Sheffield United despite only winning the game by a goal.

The Blades went and scored an equaliser in the 85th minute and that could have been bad news for any team. But that’s the quality of this City side. They bounced back immediately with a goal of their own. They can just turn it on like a tap.

City are just that good. Unlike the other top Premier League sides, City very rarely have a poor day.

Prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Fulham

Mark Lawrenson (Paddy Power)

Fulham got a good result at Arsenal but I don’t think they can repeat it in this game. We know Pep Guardiola’s not there but they’re on the phone to him! Fulham aren’t bad defensively and I love the defensive midfielder player, Joao Palhinha, but it’s got to be City to win.

Prediction: Manchester City 2-0 Fulham
