Rasmus Hojlund arrived at Man United’s Carrington training complex to finalise his transfer on Tuesday.

The announcement of Rasmus Hojlund’s move to Manchester United could be delayed by another three days. Hojlund, 20, is understood to have arrived later than expected on Tuesday and United’s schedule for the Dane has changed.

Hojlund arrived at Manchester Airport at 4.15pm. Hojlund was due to meet with the fans and do signing activities today but that has been canceled and United are focusing on their medicine.

The deal is by no means in jeopardy and United are now considering a possible announcement this weekend around their home game against Lens on Saturday at 12.45pm.

United agreed a fee of £64m, plus £8m in add-ons, for Hojlund with Atalanta on Saturday morning, having suggested they would not pay more than £60m.

Hojlund became United’s principal striker target after the club were discouraged from bidding for Tottenham talisman Harry Kane.

Senior United sources believe Hojlund is a “rough diamond” who could be developed into one of European football’s elite goalscorers under the coaching of Erik ten Hag.

The Manchester Evening News revealed United manager Ten Hag held video calls with Hojlund towards the end of last season. Hojlund switched to the SEG International Agency, who also represent Ten Hag.
