Man United fans and staff are becoming increasingly frustrated at the Glazers’ management of the takeover process, which is now in its eighth month.

Manchester United supporters group The 1958 have announced plans to protest the Glazers amid lingering frustration over a potential takeover of the club.

In an announcement posted to Twitter late Sunday night, the group detailed plans for a protest outside the club shop on Tuesday 27 June to coincide with the release of next season’s kits.

The protests come as the takeover is already in its eighth month and little progress has been made recently. Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are still awaiting a decision on exclusivity.

A tweet from the 1958 Twitter account read: “DON’T FEED GLAZER GREED! The 1958 will have a presence at the megastore on Tuesday. A legal protest from 9:45am. Be there! Bring your anti Glazer flags and banners! Be loud, be visual. We don’t stop until they sell our club! #GlazersOut #BoycottAdidas“.

Sheikh Jassim and Ratcliffe remain the two favorites to buy the club, but any updates on the process have come from bidders or the media, with no comment from the board when it announced plans to explore “strategic alternatives” in November.’s slow decision-making has dragged the process into the summer transfer window and the club’s ownership situation is in limbo while its Premier League rivals work to strengthen their squads. Multiple reports suggest that Erik ten Hag and other Old Trafford staff are increasingly upset about the delays.

Former Redsdefender Gary Neville criticized the Glazers last week, telling BBC Radio 5 Live: “I find it embarrassing. But that’s exactly what they did, they prolong everything.”It is always in their interest and not in the interest of the football team.

United are planning to release their home kit for the 2023/24 season on Tuesday after hinting at the date on social media earlier in the month.
