Reacting to Foden’s goal whilst commentating for Sky Sports, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville said: “Phil Foden was voted the best player in the Premier League and he’s just shown us why.”
Meanwhile, ex-Everton man Leon Osman said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Oh wow. This young man Phil Foden just keeps doing wonderful things. Just gets better and better every time you see him.

With 18 minutes on the clock, Foden doubled City’s lead with a close-range finish after Jeremy Doku’s cross.
