Manchester United set £50 million price tag for Jadon Sancho Sale - timelineoffuture

Manchester United want around £50 million to sanction Jadon Sancho’s exit in the upcoming summer transfer window, Ben Jacobs reports.

Sancho returned to Borussia Dortmund in January on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.

He has started to find his feet, bagging three goals and two assists in 17 appearances for the Bundesliga giants.

He put on a dazzling show in Dortmund’s 1-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League semi-final.

His sensational trickery and play on the right wing left everyone in awe.

Sancho was pushed out of Old Trafford due to his explosive fallout with Erik ten Hag.

He was frozen out of the first team picture after he refused to apologise to the United head coach.

There is no surprise that Sancho is shining in a familiar space where he has more freedom.

He is a talented player and has a bright future. However, a Man United player not only needs to have talent but also the bravery to face constant scrutiny from the media.

The Red Devil paid a staggering £72.9m to the German giants to acquire his services in 2021. This means that United would have to incur a loss of over £20m in this deal.

It is not a favourable outcome especially when Sancho’s best years are ahead of him.

However, if Ten Hag remains the United manager next season, the club will have to back the head coach ahead of the player.

Sancho has two options to return to Old Trafford and play regularly. Firstly, he must apologise to Ten Hag.

Secondly, if INEOS decide to hire a new manager, they could give Sancho a clean slate.
